“Well, she hadn't answered her messages, so I thought I'd make sure she was okay...”
From where Ami was helplessly held aloft, far from the unreachable device, she clearly saw a familiar name on the screen. She could try and ask for help, or say she was okay... explain to the two what had happened... or... simply wait. They were bound to give up eventually... weren't they?
