>>2491891Thank you so much for such thorough explanation of all aspects of this. I'm definitely going to try those as the whole setup looks pretty darn robust. And while I do like to put my a finishing touch one things myself, starting off from such a base is great help!
As for the "matrix link", I'll go check my archives, I must've not been too active in that thread because it seems I missed on it. Thanks for the head up though. And yeah, I can sympathize with the shit upload speed. I'm on the same boat here.
>>2491893Thank you, and glad to have you as well.
>>2491970That would be really nice, except I'd steer clear of peer-to-peer (heh) and replace it with something akin to how git works. Commit-based with clear history of every change done and anonymous pull of data with registered push system. Come to think of it from what I've read already about things
>>2491891 mentioned, it does seem it might work like that to some extent.
>>2491977Boorus approach is definitely serviceable but we couldn't take away the "personal profiles" from the system both for the sake of creators (who want to promote their own works) and to lesser extent users (who may want to see specifically works of a given artist, thought this is easily solved with robust system of tagging). Syncing however, above all would be beneficent to all parties involved.
>>2491980That's true enough really, but even it that won't happen, some external systems can be used to a good effect. The downside would be however we lose the integrity with the site itself but then again I'd rather not have such integrity then get Iwara killed due to overload of traffic.
>>2492132Those... are quite the news really. Such a shame the project died without much feedback.
I wouldn't exactly call myself a Developer but I can do fair bit of coding as well, which is nice to make ends meet in terms of data management. And the danger you mention is exactly why I went onto this tagging crusade.
