For a long time I've wanted to make a thread and commit to it somewhere on this site. It's possible that somewhere else would be better, but when you come to 4chan you don't have to deal with all the ego that comes with websites where you have a profile or an account. People are more candid, for better or for worse. I couldn't figure out where this thread should go though. Obviously /v/ gets the most traffic, but it's also full of the most detractors and derailers. Also with as quickly as it moves and how busy my schedule can get I never would be able to keep up or maintain a momentum.
Then there's /h/ and /aco/ which are more on the porn side, and for the most part full of threads about something this tame might get some attention, but they don't really fit the bill either.
At the end of the day /e/ is the best choice for this. It's really slow and the no western art rule can be tough to maneuver, but if I'm really going to compile a complete list of every biggest character of each series of every type of media this is probably the best place to do it. Maybe I'm wrong.
About creating the database or the wiki, this is my aim. There's a couple of problems though. First of all I have absolutely no knowledge of how to make a wiki or a website. I've always been pretty shocked that one hasn't already been created. The closest thing to this is boobpedia, a wiki supposedly dedicated to cataloging every large breasted female, both real and fictional. The wiki is laughably lacking in curation and content.
So if I were to really do this it would either require me learning how to or someone else helping me. I'm considering it but a commitment like this would be more in service for others than for myself
