They don't even register, and could be biased, but I would think others are in the same boat as me and don't even think about it, translators included.
It is sort of Mandela effect; you start using something so often that you end up convincing yourself that it is completely normal. In any case, I was attempting to explain the nuance, understanding that someone who doesn't read that sort of stuff often enough could think differently. I shouldn't have tried; I'll rather not have a discussion about political correctness on translation or in any other context; it's a topic that never leads to anything good. I just wanted to talk about vaginas.
