>>2195541yeah I feel you. I'd say I do a fair bit of making my own stuff when compared to most.
But at the same time, I wouldn't go out of my way to not use a good motion that i didn't make.
i tend to edit base mesh,phyisics,motions,camera,even edit shaders and effects. I've made a few motions here and there also.
but it all takes time so I end up rarely making anything in favor of different stuff that I enjoy plus can actually get compensation from it.
>>2195592from my point of view what you are really paying for is the ability for that person to spend more time creating mmd and less time doing things that actually pays bills.
It would be cool to not be at a loss to commission someone to make unique models, motions,outfits, stages, etc for new videos.
could even commission other video makers so more content can be made. or create/train a team that can get to a point where they can produce lots of high quality videos regularly.
idk that is how i see it at least. most of goals I've seen when i looked around are buying a new computer or something.
also note that videos was only one facet of the things I listed.
>>2195599>Why did you stop uploading to iwara?ah just several little things, the root of which being that I never felt like my stuff "fit" on iwara to begin with.
because I tend to have a heavier use of effects and use mostly non-jp non-vocaloid music.
some crazy drama caused me to take a break from mmd, so I wasn't posting anywhere for a bit.
even after starting back, I wanted to see how frequently videos would pop up that used a similar kind of non-jp music.
turns out not much which is what i suspected. only stuff from akomni and ademar come to mind.
and finally, i favored using my time to make games over mmd since i find it fun also and it's actually profitable.
I have seen various mmd patreon pages up and running so i wanted to see if it is worth exploring now.
and I figured if there was any criticism on what not to do I would find it here ^^;
