Mainly because you'll be working much harder to make a Pony model work vs an Illustrious model. You'll have to deal with way more eyes and hands being messed up as well as less concepts you can use without a lora specifically for it. Saying that it was the late stage Pony models like Snow Pony Alt the I got the most out of. Like this goblin girl. So if you insist on using only Pony Diffusion, at least use a mix that's much more recent.
