The girl is approached with an offer to become a magical girl, asked what kind of powers she wants and what kind of costume--directions that are taken quite literally including her failure to mention certain pieces an outfit should have. She then has to save the day but the battle puts her in embarrassing situations until the battle ends and she finds out the hard way that when her clothes disappeared for the transformation they weren't transported or something, they actually were obliterated. Of course, the magical girl costume--or what's left of it--goes away once her battle is over. And she was fighting the threat in the middle of the city.
