But that's unlikely for a coronavirus, which as a group don't don't prompt very strong or long-lasting immune responses. An antiviral panacea like DRACO would do the trick, as would everyone deciding to live like Quarians. Everyone wearing N95 or better masks (properly) would stop it and all other airborne diseases. Everyone taking a protease inhibitor like ivermectin might do it. Everyone eating well and exercising would just about eliminate severe cases. But that's unlikely to happen. What's more likely is that the virus will follow the normal pandemic disease progression of increasing transmission and decreasing severity of symptoms. For example, Spanish flu didn't go away, it just became one of the regularly circulating unremarkable strains of flu. Leaky vaccines reverse this selective pressure for decreasing severity, which would have been a problem if the vaccines weren't so ineffective too. It will still probably take longer for COVID-19 than normal due to the widespread vaccination though.
