I'll admit my methods may seem a little weird but they really do allow a lot of freedom to customize things easily down the road, like if you want to add extra hair parts to give a windswept look or something if the character already uses a lot of hair parts. Transparency is a tool that I don't see get used a lot for things other than see-thru clothing, but you can do more with it. It've also done it for so long that I just get how to work with it and don't really think about it.
