Start getting meteo warning tomorrow, depend on how far inland the camp is and how strong would you like it to be and also how everyone think about the idea it might or might not need evacuation which can also cause something interesting to occur, and then make it either went away quickly or weakened very fast that contain all the weather chaos into a single day/night or so. A night with reasonably strong wind and strong rain is also a nice atmosphere for some possibly exciting scenario
Assuming the camp take place in America there are quite a bit of places that could be affected by them
