I mostly just use it since it's convenient and one of the only things I've found yet that can read text on a complex, colored background like in that set. Being able to read without another overlay or needing to click around to translate stuff is also nice, gets kind of awkward doing that stuff with your dick in your hand.
For regular manga stuff like Sugoi Manga OCR (pic related) might be a better choice, though I find it still doesn't do so well on CG sets where the text is on a colored background even with the new OCR method they added recently. Their visual novel OCR tool did better, but it's pretty fiddly and tedious (since it's designed to read a single constantly changing text box in a static location, not various ones spread around the page) so I didn't really like using that method that much.
