media preview on the other hand just updates the windows thumbs.db, but uses some smart comparisons to find useful thumbs.
so I guess I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of time preloading in order to get smartly chosen thumbs.
I'll check icaros to see if it does that
but I just upgraded to win10 for a reason, so i'm pretty sure im going to be fucked. so far firefox seems to be working, addons intact
