And it's true, sometimes /e/ does become slow as shit, but it's better than some places where you can't even get a thread to last more than an hour (of course it's understandable for places like /b/ which meant to be rapidfire bullshit). But it is good that threads here aren't dying out as quickly as they used to.
This does make me want to point out we need to try and be civil. Sure, we have no obligation to be nice to each other, but it doesn't justify going "fuck off" when somebody asks for help with a picture. Now of course request threads are pitiful, but only when the OP posts a single (and sometimes irrelevent, non-/e/) picture and then gets an attitude when a day passes without any response. But if someone does the kind of content being sought after or at least a clue about what the OP needs, there's nothing wrong with helping out.
And if we can at least play nicely, then thread activity should become more prolific.
