>>2353875Our foxy friend, who had been quiet until now, made her mind known while sunbathing through Granny’s east window. “I don’t like dogs.”
“Well, I don’t like you being naked but I deal with it anyway. Come on, we all have to pitch in. It’ll be just this once so we can train it to follow Granny’s scent,” I begged her.
“They’re loud, they bark a lot and they are scary,” Aurora prattled on.
“It is just going to be a three-week old puppy or so. Don’t be such a coward,” I censured her.
“Can they track from that young?” Yin wondered.
“Well, I’m not summoning an older one,” I categorically stated. “That’s how old regular puppies have to be before they start training them as hunting hounds, right?” I was not sure but I may have heard something about it. Dogs were a common sight back in Teson, not all that much in Yurin, though. “Get me something for the hellhound to eat, Aurora. Yin; you’re in charge of drawing the circle and positioning of the ritual. Hellhounds don’t normally use contracts so I’ll go get a chain or something. Meet you all outside town; on the path we took from Teson.”
