Moving past the fact that Haruhi and Lucky Star are not remotely similar beyond the animation style, that both of them are good, and that neither of them have anything to do with Evangelion, what is your problem?
Mari has had, cumulatively, about 15 minutes of screentime. At that point, Rei was a kuudere hinting at development that never happened, and Asuka was a generic tsundere and also a cunt. I really don't get why her existence detracts so much from the Eva franchise.
