I can see the appeal of suffocation or equipment failure but that's probably the extent of anything that resembles drowning for me. Namely because it requires gear to be present. That tends to err on the side of Heroine-Pinch+ryona situations than it does drowning I'd say.
Titanic Mystery looked like one of those games where graphics should matter. At least the girls would look distinct in game instead of giving the player a false illusion of choice.
