I see some people putting there request on every single thread that pops up on every board (I assume to cast a wide net) but it just means that the editors need to go through addition steps to make sure someone didn't fill the request elsewhere so they aren't wasting their time. I have not seen a single person return to other boards and other thread to let people know that their request was filled, and more then a few times I've started something just to find out it has been done elsewhere already.
