Anyway it's a cool style, and his eyes got better over time. Just makes me wonder what sort of process produces these weird brown artifacts in the eyelashes and eyebrows. In your image they're just random flecks but with sharp jagged edges. In the vol6 cover it almost looks like black paint that was later scratched off. But it must be made digitally.
