“Did you really just freeze from talking to another girl, Silvia?” One of the patrons made fun of me.
“Shut up, Stal, or I’ll drop this whole thing right on your head!” his name was not Stal, I just had to call him something.
Not-Stal laughed, throwing his head back while I did my job and gave him and all his friends his drinks. Not a single one of them pinched me in the butt and I already counted that as a victory.
“Can you really fault Silvia, though? That girl… is something else. Not normal.” Another man said, a young, good-looking one.
“Yeah…” I sighed, looking at her behind sway under her dress while she walked.
It wasn’t like I liked her or anything! Gods, no! She was… so pretty, though! I liked men. I was a normal girl and always had been; the most irregular thing about me were my violet eyes, and that was only because my mother was from a village far to the north.
