[Ashore - Finale?]
(The last update was two threads back, sorry, but I still have the whole story for saved for what it's worth, and I'll upload it to DA at some point.>>)
Ami couldn't get far if she tried to go down, that was immediately apparent... but she could still try to go up. She glanced at the surface a few inches above her, and with a short leap, managed to grab onto the end before slowly hoisting herself up onto the counter.
From there, it was just a question of where to go next. There weren't many options. The computer was still flickering nearby, but that would do no good. Retreat was still her best bet, otherwise the woman might...
“Wow, it... really looks just like her...”
Notice her.
Before Ami could think to react, she realized the woman was looking right at her naked, prone form, and Ami was helpless to do anything but stare back, frozen.
“...no way...” The clerk blinked a few times, looking back and forth between the monitor and the 'doll'. Ami felt her muscles tensing, and her breathing intensify, her chest slowly rising and falling. No, she had to stay calm, stay *still*, it was no time to panic!
The woman didn't know what was happening, or how, but she had to have been blind to not notice the tiny figure's reactions. The subtle rise and fall in her chest, the distinct blush, the unconscious fidgeting.
“Y-you're... you're her...” The woman gasped quietly, and tilted the monitor towards Ami, basking her tiny form in its warm glow.
Ami winced, and tilted her head to one side on instinct to avert her gaze from the light, realizing much too late. A delighted giggle resulted, and the woman swung the monitor away. “I kn~ew it! Wow, this is crazy...” Ami turned back to find the woman's face again leering at her with a beaming smile. “What happened, some kind of curse? A magic spell backfired? I wanna know everything!”
