For as much as I pretend to critique art and storytelling, I've seen--- actually SEEN, start-to-finish--- very few anime that could be considered ecchi or hentai.
I've started many. I just don't seem to get into them. Maybe it's something as basic as genre-wide universally bad writing

I wouldn't recommend fapping to it. Might mess with your head at worst, and send you to /d/ at best.
Other than that, excellent story. Horrifying story. Representing the essence of conflict through the immensely dissonant themes of beauty and horror was artsy and powerful. Enough so to leave me still reeling from the emotional whiplash years later.
