“Uncle! Uncle!” I’ll get you for this! Someday!
“Now get out of my office, I’m tired. And get a new pair of pants, I can see your unspeakables from here.”
I ran away in a mixture of shame and irritation. Then I come back seconds later, picked up a pen, my examination papers; and run away again.
“And don’t forget to drop by my pen sometime, you hear? I only got like three of them” Professor Leroy manages to say as I flee.

Finally. It took forever; but I got my trainer ID. I filled the examination with good grades and went to some building I didn’t even knew we had in town to give them to some girl. She literally just put me against a white wall and took my picture with a webcam; then in five minutes printed out a cheap plastic card with my name and trainer number on it.
They did ask me to put really sensible information on my forms, though. It seems the physical examination was VERY thorough. I’m sure am glad I didn’t insist on Professor Leroy make the actual one. That… would’ve been terribly embarrassing.
Also, this is not ‘quite’ the real thing. Apparently, I still have to get assigned a ‘trainer’ type; whatever that is. Sadly, that can’t be done in Palet. You have to go somewhere else to get that done. The girl who gave me my provisional ID told me they have a bigger Pokémon Affairs Center in Green city.
Which leads me to my next conundrum. It’s six thirty. I’m thirsty, hungry, tired and irritated. There’s no way I can press on to go back to Green today. Maybe I should just go home and call it a day…
a) No. I don’t want to see mom ever again. I’ll head to Green if it kills me.
b) It’s time to give up and go home. Warm bed, change of clothes, sounds nice…
c) Well… there is this other place I could go in town…
d) Write in.
