“Ugh, that’s not fair Mom!” Jessie stormed up the steps to her room, slamming the door behind her and flinging herself on the bed. She didn’t like pouting, but with no way to get to the party this weekend, it felt like the thing to do. As it happened, though, she wasn’t given a long time to feel sorry for herself.
“Hey Sis,” her twin brother poked his head in the door, “heard you were needing a ride to some party or whatever.”
Jesse bolted upright and even forgot to complain about him not knocking.
“You just gotta work my shift for me at the theme park today,” James finished.
Jesse deflated. “What kind of joke is that? Or are you making fun of me? I know we look kinda similar and I don’t have huge breasts but there’s no way I could pass as a guy,”
“Nah see that’s the thing, my boss is legally blind without his glasses and he almost never wears them. Pride thing. As long as you don’t fucking flash him or something he’d never know,” he grinned. “Sure the others will know but I’ll text them and tell them to shut up. Plus it’s fucking retail ye know? Literally no one gives the slightest shit. You could set a kid on fire and you’d just be applauded. But I’d rather you don’t, I don’t wanna get fired.”
Jesse perked back up. “Just to be clear, since you’ve messed with me before, what exactly are you suggesting here.” Her decision was already made though, she just had to be at this party. Any girl who wanted even a chance to be Homecoming Queen had to be there to gather support.
