Free period was never what you'd call eventful. It was less studying and more gossiping. I usually tried to get some reading done despite the noise around me, but that didn't seem likely. I had taken to watching the door for several minutes, but there was still no sign of her.
Had she stood me up? Or was that even possible? It wasn't like it was a date. I glanced back to the book before me, the contents of which had lost all interest, before looking back to the hallway.
