When starting out in drawing it's better to focus less on features and more on the "shape" of the body, new artists tend to use these sausage-y mannequins to help them familiarize themselves with not only proportions but the mass and physical limits of the parts of the body they're working with. Once you've got a nicely positioned collection of sausages, you can start filling in details, adding in the skin, face, hands, breasts, whatever. These sausages also help you when you eventually start working on learning how to shade (they're essentially like muscles) which in turn eventually helps you get the 3d feel you're probably aspiring to get one day. It's much harder to get the same feel freehanding the outline of a person's form. Keep the dream alive mate, you're brave as fuck for sharing here.
