She resigned herself to the most obvious of options, took up her lone remaining garment, and secured the blouse across her upper body with an intent fastening of each and every button. It had the appearance of little more than a translucent dress shirt, and worse, it seemed to be accentuated by the fact that she had no proper clothing on her lower body.
The streets by the beach were already becoming illuminated by streetlights to make up for the oncoming evening, and the path to that aforementioned shop was, as she knew all too well, on the opposite end of quite a few winding roads and paths, all occupied by no shortage of shops and passerbys, especially at nighttime.
Given the district's closeness to the beach, people walking about in light attire and even swimsuits were fairly common... but despite that, she still felt as if her isolated presence had a perpetual spotlight fixed on her.
She tried to walk casually, yet she still felt restrained in her movements; an arm kept close to her upper body, her lower form moving with measured, careful footsteps.
Little had occurred so far, though the path beneath her bare feet was somewhat uncomfortable... it hardly registered compared to her primary plight.
It was near the end of her current path when she began to round a turn that would bring her closer to that shop's road, feeling less apprehensive as she moved into the more secluded and narrower path that contained smaller, more booth-oriented shops.
Even if it was less crowded, it required each of her movements bringing her closer to anyone or anything in the area. She tried to keep her breathing and movements calm as she passed by the occasional person and booth of wares. Halfway there... at the end of that path, she'd be practically across the road from her goal.
"Uh, miss?" She stopped dead in her tracks at the small voice which came from her side.
