>>2299398Erika nudged her. Lady was supposed to ‘speak pretty’, however that could be interpreted. Erika was doing the wrong thing. Jill was going to notice something was going on that way faster.
“Sorry, Princess! I don’t give free clothes out. Sorry, my friend Erika should have explained that to you first before you had to ask me. We don’t make exceptions, but you can earn some if you want.”
“I just want a place to stay,” Lady almost interrupted Jill, who thankfully figured Erika was using Lady to beg for the now precious clothing and nothing more. “Because of certain someones I can’t stay where I used to anymore. I got another place after that; but I can’t stay there either no more because I’m told I would freeze to death; again because of certain someones.”
“Oh, I think I understand now,” Jill kept making me the happiest cat alive while talking. I rolled and exposed my vulnerable belly in appreciation. “So Erika found this stray puppy and thought to adopt it. Why ask me, though? I’m the new girl in this cabin. Or must everyone give the okay or something?”
“Huh, that actually came out of nowhere,” Erika remarked. “Nah, I don’t think it’s a good idea to let this one stay. Sure, you can keep her if you think you can manage her; but anything that happens is not my fault.”
“Then what did you bring her here for?” Jill questioned, confused as both her assumptions had been shut down in succession.
“Introductions. I thought you’d like meeting her,” Erika let go off Lady and jumped to her bunk, which bounced. “Whoops, almost crushed the mic. Well, anyway; my job here is done. Goodbye, Lady D! You’re not my problem anymore.”
“Whoa! Whoa! Not your problem anymore? What the f… what was the point of everything then? Messing with me?” Lady stopped herself just in time from cursing. She did not want to incur in the wrath of Erika’s fingers.
