Anyway, generally speaking, my kids are made starting from the mother, reducing the height by 30ish and adjusting the legs' lenght. Boobs size 6 at the very max, a "rounder" eye shape, removing one of the two eyelashes and increasing the iris by 10 (the mothers' standard is 90). I increase the face width too, and try to keep as many elements in common with the parent. Seeing them the first time, you should be able to say "Oh yeah, that's her daughter", or at least that's the intention.
Making baby Angeline was much harder though.
