“But Helga, you have to understand that people here came for a show; whether that is provided by interesting Pokémon battles or… otherwise. What do you say, Helga? Given the possibility that we could declare you the winner right now, could you be able to give us a show that could outdo what the public would miss otherwise?”
“S-sure, I could!”
“Then give us a demonstration. Without it, I cannot even consider the possibility of disqualifying the rest of our contestants.”
The audience stares at her bare body expectantly. Helga seems nervous, she might have agreed to bite more than she could chew. There is a moment of hesitation, and then… she begins.
At first awkwardly and slowly, then with a bit more vigor. There is no way to put this, she’s just… ridiculing herself. Trying to do cartwheels, dancing stupidly, spreading parts of her body for all to see… she’s so desperate to win it’s plain sad, even to me. The audience, though? They’re having the time of their lives. After a few minutes of doing things so shameful I’m not sure I could live with myself if it had been me, the announcer just has to stop her so the show can go on.
