The author defintely trolls her fanbase since she really hasn't had much of an intimate solo scene with Basara compared to the other girls. Yes Chisato is referenced in EXII, but it just plays on the rumor floating around the school that she has a boyfriend. Zest doesn't appear because the setting seems to be days before the school festival. Maria is up to know good as usual and sets up a bonding experience for Mio and Kurumi.
