>>1617342I'm kind of exploring that now, actually. Right now, I've got Photoshop CS6 and Gimp installed. Aaaaaaand other than those 2, there aren't any raster editing programs that I've got much experience with. I started the first one in Gimp, but scrapped it just because I'm used to doing this type of thing (playing with layer masks, selection tools, etc) in Photoshop. The only part that's kinda gotten tedious is the masking (my enthusiasm's died down quite a bit). I've tried different methods for pretty much each of them. For the process of "browning" specifically, either of those will get it done. It's just a matter of technique past that. I've yet to find a good way to highlight and shade them though.
