>>1839042Horsea reacts fine to the Potion, but the poor thing still seems in bad shape. That means that all battles are now up to me now, whether it’s a trainer or a wild Pokémon we’re facing. Not that I mind, even though I have to be careful with my Pokémon as well. Ralts is in perfect health, just a bit tired. Rattata has taken a few hits, but he’s fine. As for Pikachu… I know he got hit by that other Metapod twice, so there’s that; but the main thing is that I haven’t domesticated it yet. Maybe I should use this time we’re resting to try.
“Come out, Pikachu” I say.
The Pokémon comes out. I immediately offer him my hand with some Pokémon food on it.
“Here you go, eat up! OW!”
He bites my hand, I flinch away and drop the food; then it grabs it from the ground, stuffs his face with whatever he can fit on his cheeks, and attempts to run away. Rotten little…! And it’s getting away, it’s really fast!
“Ralts, I choose you!”
Ralts comes out and I have her use Confusion on the Pikachu to stop it. Then I use the ball to call him back, the thing resists all the way.
“Obedience problems?” Comments Aria, who has been watching the whole thing while munching on a ‘Venus’ chocolate bar.
“Actually, yes. What should I do about it?”
“If the Pikachu was mine (and it probably should be), I would wait until Gray City and then try to get to tame it. It just showed that it will run away if given the chance.”
“You’re probably right…”
a) Listen to her advice. Let’s just pack up our stuff and go. Gray city can’t be that far.
b) What does she know? I just have to try a different approach. If I’m hard on the Pikachu, it will learn to respect me.
c) I’ll try to be nice to it and feed it again. We’re gonna need him if we’re making it through this forest, after all.
d) Write in.
