Nervously I made it to the first part of the park. There wasn’t a lot of cover as I hoped, but it was away from the street.
I wandered down some paths, my body slightly shaking. My scare from the car earlier had shooken me up some.
Yet I still kept moving, not ready to stop and give up. I was going to make it home. Then I’d call Suzie, yell at her, and brag how I made it all the way home, at how brave I was.
It wouldn’t make up for this embarrassment and worry, but at least I’d gain something from this all!
Yet thankfully I was still fully alert of my surroundings. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone was heading my way. I quickly ran and hid behind a small barrier…
