I've always been enchanted with this panel of Aki-sensei <3, and for the longest time have wanted to remake it to hi-res from what is available online (and animate it! If any of you remember the rough animation of this panel I posted years ago, that is the endgame there).
But since I work with
Paint.net (because I have always been a poorfag haha and only do this as a hobby when I can't sleep), the time & work would have been huge & tedious so I have been putting it off for smaller edits for years.
A lot of changes (good & bad) are happening in my life which made me feel that I should finally finish this project once and for all. It'll probably take months and months and months though. I usually like to finish projects as soon as possible before my attention turns to something else which is why they are always very small edits, but this is what I have always wanted to do. Sharing about it here for now I guess is my way of committing to it and to keep my motivation up to finish it.
And apologize for not being active, I'm so proud of how this community has grown since I started the Maken-ki threads in April 2018 but sitting down in Paint throughout the night with those basic tools clicking away has always been where my heart is at. I guess that's why I'd rather personally draw it than commissioning or upgrading my tools for these edits. But it comes at the cost of my time and attention (and sleep haha). I love reading all the comments & contributions for the threads. You guys are amazing.
