OP here. I just post all the QB related stuff I manage to find, so to keep interest in the series.

Okay, though, they've made three Samurai Spirits Queen's Gate books. They should make a Yuri Sakazaki book. Art of Fighting damn near invented the whole "Clothing Damage dealt to fighting females" thing!

The card game in question is Queen's Blade The Duel. From what I've seen, most of the cards recycle art from the QB books and/or other official art sources (Megami magazine posters and etc)... though every once in a while, they do get new artists to draw up new card art.

You guys are covering a lot of bases, but what what kills me (as a rabid QB fan) is that NOBODY has scanned in the official QB manga! Not "Hide & Seek" but the original ones which (from what I can tell of the previews) are just incredibly ecchi short stories.

My comp can't handle 1080i...the 720p versions work fine, though...and I still need OVA 6...and I can't get them via torrent unless I want BayTSP to contact my ISP again and shut off my net...those fuckers mean business...so QB torrents are a no no.

I heard before that QB torrents were under fire, but I thought it was just pressure from HobbyJapan.

Anyway, I only posted the 1080 raw versions so people can go screencap crazy. I honestly think these OVAs were pretty much made for that.

I'm not sure having a Queen's Gate book necessarily means you're in dire financial straits. I'm pretty sure Bandai/Namco isn't really hurting, but they licensed out Lili for a QC book. Ditto Arc System Works or Sega or whoever owns the rights to Guilty Gear licensing out Dizzy.

Though I could do without another Samurai Spirits character for a while. Perhaps another non-fighting-game character?

It's not a cause-effect thing, but Tecmo wasn't in good shape at all. That's why they got pac-gobbled up by Koei and are Koei-Tecmo now.

Koei-Tecmo seems very friendly to using DoA/NG as cameo properties(read: whoring out for $$$.)

Given that Tecmo's current problems seem to arise from poor planning and loosing most of Team Ninja's original brains because of disagreements, I don't think staying on Sony's platform really would have kept them from making a lot of really bad decisions.

In fact, if they were specific to the Playstation 3, they might be doing worse.Given how popular the PS3 was early in its life, and the time DOA4 was released....still, that's speculative.

Not really, you can order most Queen's Blade stuff from online stores. Even the PSP game; PSP games are region free. I've bought 7 Queen's Blade/Gate books, various figures, and of course the Airi Dollfie. Mind you, I don't know what country you live in, so if you're wanting to get any of the loli-looking characters' books, you may be out of luck depending on how aggressively your Customs agents are.

Now, if you're waiting for the PSP game to be officially translated.... well, I wouldn't really hold my breath.

I don't believe there's any single source of English QB info. As far as I know, there are 3 ways of playing Queen's Blade:

1) The game books: You can buy them from J-List, and translations can be found on Flying Buffalo's page: http://flyingbuffalo.com/leina.htm

2) The trading card game (Queen's Blade The Duel): HLJ has a few decks in stock http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?Count=200&rel=nav&GenreCode=Tcd&MacroType=CrdBoo and translations can be found (sort of) from http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/375501/english-translation-for-cards

3) The PSP game (Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos): It shouldn't be too hard to find from an importer. There's a link to a menu translation patch on the GameFAQs forum.

You're, of course, encouraged to Google this stuff yourself, you may find better links.

Well, 3D would allow for alternate outfits.
My personal preference would be 2.5D - 3D graphics and 2D gameplay.
I know many people would probably prefer something like Soul Calibur but personally I'd like it to be more like Street Fighter IV, mostly because the girls have ludicrous abilities similar to specials and supers we see in 2D game.

I genuinely want a QB fighting game, but I want it to be good on it's own, not just a fanservice-centric game.

She looks a lot better in the preview for the new OVA in August. Not so sure about the nun thing...this series has enough already...

Given what they've released so far...Rebellion looks more like a gaiden or AU than a sequel.

And OVA 12 arrives, bringing closure to the epic battle.
Without spoiling it, I'll just say that the ending is pretty funny and shows how aware the writers are of the stupidity of the series' premise (if anything, the OVAs are a spoof of the main story).
Everyone makes an appearance in this episode, some more than others unfortunately.

Raw, mp4 format and not the best quality it could have, but it's what I could find at the moment, so in the meantime, it will suffice.
