On topic image post. Ha, ha, slavery was historically and originally a wealth/power issue. If you want something like the situation in the image to occur, you obviously want a bigger gap between the "Haves" and the "Have Nots" as well as the economic concept of "wage slavery" to be in full force.
As societies became more modern, the ability of people to escape societies with slavery and compete against them caused the downfall of slavery as a common model. It was economics MORE than politics that caused the change; only in the USA with its negro subclass constantly whining about slavery keeps it a hot political topic.
Slavery of sorts is making a comeback but its model changed. As
>>1279048 inferred, the way that the republicans generally behave seems to add momentum to the "wage slave" economic concept.
For those who don't live in the USA and might not realize, "liberal" is a bad word in the USA and is often used derogatorily such as
>>1279035 did by referring to someone as being only able to get minimum wage. Others like Karl Rove talked about creating a society where liberals would be restricted by social forces to lower paying jobs which was certainly something that did not endear him to the liberals during the first term of the bush presidency.
Once the wage slavery economic model becomes dominant, I suspect that laws will change such that sexual servants would be legal. The top 5% could thus easily enjoy the perks of slavery without longterm costs of the old slavery concept.
