We certainly know there's no way to merge animal DNA with humans. Of course, why would Samus even want a kid? Sure, she was attached to the Metroid, but that doesn't mean she's longing for kids, it could very be the same thing most people do with pets, treat them a bit more like a person and not whatever thing they are.
