And if you can't create an unattractive female, then you haven't played with the character editor in SC4 long enough. I've made a flat, butch muscle girl with a manface that only /d/ would find attractive. And who are we really to say that you can make unattractive men but not unattractive women using the editor? You'd have to be good at gauging what attractive men look like, and you'd have to either be gay or a woman to be a proper gauge of this.
I for one think Hilde and Tira are only attractive to people with a certain fetish. I'm certainly not attracted to Amy, either, though I suppose she's.... cute? And other than Astaroth, Lizardman, Nightmare (all intended to be monsters) and Voldo (who might as well be a monster), could any of the male cast be truly considered unattractive beyond a shadow of a doubt? I think your perspective is skewed.
