Witchblade - came for the tits and violence, stayed for the heartwarming interactions between loving mother, daughter, and neighbors.
Towards the end they moved the emphasis away form fanservice and violence, and more towards characterization, and I actually appreciated the change. It's nothing deep and revelatory, but it's enjoyable and relatable.
