I just finished watching the last episode of Gurren Lagann yesterday. I watched 8 episodes the day before that, 10 the day before that, 4 on the first day, and 4 on the days in between. Tonight, I watched all 16 of the Parallel Works, plus Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann The Movie: Childhood's End. I'm gonna watch the second one tomorrow, and check out the three manga.
Personally, I found Nia and the Black Siblings to be more attractive than Yoko. Dunno why, though.
