I think the problem here is that they are just shitty artists and tracing is a clear indicator.
That being said, I believe the best ecchi containing known characters is the stuff that portrays the character as true to the original art style/proportions/level of detail (or better) as possible.
It's really hard to find good naruto ecchi.
