Discussion time:
Does anyone else find that they can't watch/read porn and hentai if they've watched/read the anime or manga it's base on?

Pic related, I just watched some of that Oreimo-thing and now I've spoil it for myself. Which sucks cause the doujins are usually my favorites.

To me it depends a lot. Normally, I steer clear of hentai doujins from series I like, but, that's mostly because the characters hardly ever seem like themselves. If it's well drawn, however, and the plot is plausible considering the relations between the characters in the series, then it turns me on major.

For me, I have less of a problem with ... er, adjustments to characters' behavior than I do mucking with their appearance. For example, one of my fave characters is Asuka, but I hate when doujin artists draw her with 47DDD breasts. It's like, if ginormous tits are your thing, there are a million other characters out there for you. Not drawing the characters as designed kinda misses the basic point for me.

I can't do it although if I see the unofficial stuff first, it's a bit different. Sometimes it grows my interest in the actual anime/manga, so I stop looking at the doujins and images to basically forget them before I dive into the actual story.

For instance, I found that K-On was a great yuri source, but after being curious about it for a while, then hearing a dub was coming, I kept away from K-On doujins and the like. Now that I'm a fan of the series, I couldn't go back, either.

Even shows like OreImo where I just WANT incestual sex or otherwise in the show (which probably won't happen - it's one huge cocktease), I find it hard to go back to the doujins. Partially because the brother is a shit character that no one likes so he's a boner-killer.

For me it depends on the series. If the doujin covers a reasonable extrapolation of a canon relationship (say, Keiichi/Belldandy or Lina/Gourry) or is a yuri doujin of a show with no important male character (like K-on or Strike Witches) then no real problem. I hate doujins with anonymous rapers though, why the hell does Japan produce so many of them?

Depending on the nature of the character. I am completely repulsed by Katawa Shoujo hentai especially Hanako (inb4 lol can't fap because bacon ecksdee), it even felt wrong to have an H scene for her in the actual game.
