I'll try to keep this short. If you look at the top giulds you will often see that all their members have the same guild role.
While I haven't managed a guild myself, I imagine you are not normally allowed to gain +10% raid boss summon from each of 20 members. It would be handy if you are trying to dominate the raidboss rankings though. I've noticed that roles stick to kicked members so the process probably goes:
Give member a role
Kick member a
Give member b role
Kick member b
Repeat till all members are kicked, then re-invite everyone.
I don't actually have much to say about scripting. I know it happens - it's not physically possible to make 10,000 attacks in a guildwar - but since I'm not really a competitive sort I can't be bothered with this level of cheating. Although this sort of thing is so much a part of the game now that it may as well just be called "advanced gameplay".
So why am I telling you all this? Because I've found that the game is a lot more relaxing, enjoyable and... healthy, I guess you could say, after I learned all this. When you don't have to spend 24/7 on the marketplace ripping people off to catch up to older players, or worry about the relative value of items and can just happily expand your collection without grinding for months or throwing money at the problem, the game becomes a true joy.
It might seem blindingly obvious that you can have more fun when cheating, but you'd be surprised at the difference. I've been having FUN. And I hope you do as well, anons.
