Next time put the series in and find a picture with the character. Click on the picture and you can find the search term. The search system isn't broken.

Turns out that there needs to be a period at the end of 'ano_hi_mita_hana_no_namae_wo_bokutachi_wa_mada_shiranai.' to get it.

This is just one example. The fact that it must be input exactly right with underscores is unacceptable.

I use Dan, but I feel that Gel has a lot more fappable material whereas the former is more SFW. I may be wrong, but that's the impression that evolved with me.

Their standards on "quality" are more jaded than those pissants on /d/, and they flip flop with what content is "allowed" one moment, than ban it the next.

Sure, not every site can be a huge repository for all the images in the world, but trying to force arbitrary standards on people is just shit.

Honestly, I find it annoying that Danbooru is pretty much schizophrenic about character name order. Example:

Pretty much every official Metal Slug document has her listed as "Eri Kasamoto". And if that weren't enough, if we were really willing to go down the road of naming things based on whether they're Asian or Western, Tarma's name should be backwards too (He's from Hokkaido). Of course, I have no idea if Gelbooru does this as well (I don't go to Gelbooru because I don't like ads and as a general rule Danbooru has it first. Also, while it was nice to have everything on Ravenwood posted to Gelbooru, the gallery is a source/tagging disaster and I'd much rather browse Ravenwood directly).

Gelbooru search truly is garbage. In my freshman year of college I coded a better search algorithm. Unfortunately the hentai site I ran for 6 months never really took off and, being in college, I was just like "fuck that" and scrapped the project

There are some tricks you can use to improve your experience on gelbooru, though. At the top of the page click "tags", then search for:

>*naruko*

It will return all tags that contain "naruko". You can browse this list for the tag you want. I use this feature all the time when I want something eerily specific but don't know the tag. I recently did the following:

>face*sit*
>sit*face*

The proper tag is apparently "sitting_on_face"

Would post Naruko for you, but I'm not at my main computer. In France for the month =(

Oddly enough, it seems certain tags are completely missing. I mentioned this in /h/ not long ago, but I wonder why Accident* is not explored more as a fetish; ranging from accidental_undressing or Accidental_exposure (though wardrobe_malfunction does work well enough), but it isn't elaborated enough, from that to accidental_(sex/yuri/tribadism/etc.).

Hell, a pool on those kinds of subjects aren't even made.

What doesn't help is that IQDB, SauceNAO, and e-Hentai's reverse image searches are somewhat limited in their scope, and Google is cutting down on their reverse image searching to be more committed to being more safesearch-worthy, even with safesearch off. In short, Google is starting to lose it's zazz when it comes to Reverse-Image Searching to the point of disappointment. Even old searches are no longer as bountiful as they once were.

I also typically avoid Danbooru since they stubbornly refuse to let you use more than two search terms, which is absurdly restrictive. It would be nice to have a booru that didn't fuck things up so bad.

Recently I found Sankaku Complex (yes I'm a bit slow) and I find it very useful, lot of pics, cool search system, etc.
