It doesn't affect the game in any way other than its name. Learn to accept change, it happens weather you like it or not, like the changing tides, your constant aging process and the slow, crushing realisation that you're fighting a pointless battle and there is no point being a petty, bitter cunt over a new generation of Pokemon because its not labelled a colour, or a colour thinly disguised as a metal or precious gem.
