I seem to remember the lore said that she was an ancestor of Mihoshi, but that didn't appear in the actual show. The lore also said something about Ryoko and Washu having a one way mental link of some kind? Washu knows everything Ryoko is thinking and feeling, but not the other way around?
I only liked the original version of Tenchi, so I don't know anything about the reboots.
