On Windows, you go C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\<some string of letters and numbers>\pochi.lix.jp\k_kisekae2.swf\

if you use an offline version, you'll have to look in \localhost instead of \pochi.lix.jp

Your saves are the my_data.sav file.

I have no idea where to find your saves on another OS. You could just manually copy all codes to a text-file instead and re-save them on the new computer, of course.

PSA about the update:

K-kisekae's local shared objects don't actually seem to be destroyed after the update. But it's now looking for them in a different directory. In /#SharedObjects, instead of /<randomstring>/pochi.lix.jp it's now looking in /<randomstring>/pochi.x.fc2.com/kisekae.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_shared_object for more info on where to find the shared objects directory for your OS.

yeah, from what I can understand, updates are now going to be released first on what was originally the mirror site (pochi.x.fc2.com/kisekae) which if people remember, was the site the flash was originally hosted on.

The site most people would be used to using (pochi.lix.jp) is now the mirror and from what I can understand, will be updated less frequently.

Moving your saves from one to the other should be as easy as moving the save files from pochi.lix.jp to pochi.x.fc2.com in #SharedObjects. But you'd need to have an existing save file in both version in order for the file path to show up.

Sorry if this might seem like common knowledge to most of you.

The times how they do change. To think only 3 from my original group of 7 have survived. Through varying degrees of alteration though.

Here's the recolorable template.
Use the fill tool in your image editor of choice to recolor the bottom however you like, then paste the top into a new layer over it.

Because the point was to see what people would cone up with despite having so many limitations. Anyone can add anything they want to a design in photoshop, but it's rather more difficult to come up with new concepts with the program's limited abilities (the trend of using hair and ribbons for clothing and objects, etc.)

The only reason I mentioned mouse by name is because whether you like his work or not, every time there's some new idea introduced made solely using the app, it's almost always him.

Deny. All my saves are still working, except that some hair extensions are discoloured, since all of them can now have a gradient.

Delete cache and reload. That usually fixes it.

It's kind of hard to explain, but it controls how the pigtails/ahoges behave when you tilt the characters head; one option has them rotate 1/1 with the head and the other has them sort of slide to simulate gravity.
Just make a characters, give them the new pigtails, tilt their head, then click that button and you should get an idea of what it does.

It would appear the last update changed the sizes of the screenshots. Instead of 3200x2400 for the max size, they are now 2000x1500. All the other sizes were also adjusted accordingly.

Kinda dumb, since the most common CG backgrounds are 800x600.

I don't think he's repetitive so much as that because he has his own set style outside the regular faces, it makes it easier to notice what does crop up more, whereas when we just work with the default style it doesn't sink in as much.

I actually made this one quite some time ago. See, Charlotte was originally based on my pawn from Dragon's Dogma, so I ended up using her as a mascot of sorts for my UNAC in Armored Cored: Verdict Day as well (since UNACs are sort of like pawns in a gameplay sense.)

Pic related is a pretty accurate depiction of her behavior in the game.

Is there anyone active who understands the technical side of the files? I get that the main file calls the other files which have various pages in them, but without being able to edit the swf how do you know exactly which files are needed (in the event he adds new files again)? And what does the js file actually do other than check flash versions?

That's like saying that all of the Vocaloid parts are there solely to make Vocaloids. The new parts are extremely versatile and I'm glad to have them, especially since many of the new hair options are androgynous enough to be used for male characters as well. Also, the change to the default characters is probably temporary, since the K-Ons are still there, and the Flash isn't called Love Kisekae! yet.

If you use Adblock, you can open the list of blockable items on the web version. All the files the program calls upon get listed.
I have no idea about the totality of the .js functions, but it is also required for the offline version to get rid of the nodata message, that would otherwise appear in the corner, I believe.

When available, the program loads a cached version of the files, which wouldn't include any new updates. Another entry in the appropriate column is used, when the program asks for something that is not there. Occassionally this fucks up everything. Not this time though, appearently.
To get the new socks you'll have to clear your browser-cache.

Oh that's clever. I never thought of using AdBlock, thanks. I've looked through the js, but don't understand enough about js to understand why the nodata message actually appears. I think it's something to do with flash version info not being forwarded but not entirely sure. Everything else functions perfectly with the nodata message up if you load via swf.

I figured it was because when the feature was added, everyones pre-existing characters defaulted to 0 degrees, which is upside down, and had to be manually set to 180 to be upright again.

Large update note today, basically the 7,8,9 keys can now control the characters height, width and underwear transparency respectively. You press the key alone to increase each aspect, shift+(key) to decrease it and ctrl+(key) to reset. interestingly this feature is entirely independent of the games existing body scalers.

Plus there is an additional quality level included, however for the life of me I cannot see any difference between 3 and 4.

Okay, nevermind. In the first love live update you could shrink/stretch via the 4-7 keys even to inverted amounts in order to make cool shadows, but the update now has limits on it which vastly reduces its usefulness.

Also the ability to reset to k-on characters is now gone, so keep an old backup if you want to keep them.

You know how the girl's eyes will move on their own? They only do that in Quality setting 4 now, if what I'm reading is correct.

That said, I really don't understand why underwear transparency can't be a slider in the actual options instead of having to do it via the keyboard.

On that note, every individual clothing option should have a transparency slider, and the current one should be changed to just making the body transparent.

Yeah, I don't really care much about k-on one way or the other, but the characters did make good starting points. Very basic designs, with mostly natural/close to natural hair colors... and they came conveniently pre-stripped, so you could jump right into adjusting their body proportions without clicking away their uniforms first.

Oh well, starting from a new set of characters should be interesting.

Right, I mean long as in all of the hair is long, not just the back (randomly googled example added.) There are a few workarounds that sort of get there but still no real base hair section to support it.

I think the problem is that it's just not very common in anime despite being super common in the real world.
