Birdy the Mighty ended up being much, much better than I anticipated. Aside the moderate level of eye candy, the story actually flows pretty steadily. The male protag Tsutomu actually is pretty good for being foisted into the unfortunate school boy role. FAR from being helpless.
Then a somewhat side antagonistic male character who had been in love with Birdy since forever is actually pretty competent himself as a character. A bit on the murderous side but more out of vengeance than malice, though that is apparent too.
Cryin' shame there's no plans for a third season since the series pretty much left off on a cliffhanger ending and there was lots more.
The manga is being fan translated last I checked and has even more content but I still don't think it's complete either. *shrug*
>>1716825>I just finished queens blade and freezing and this looks interesting enough to check outDifferent anon here.
Been interested to try both of those out. Branwen is probably the one I look most forward to seeing in QB and its second season.
Freezing: Pretty good from what I have heard. The only irritating part supposedly is the character who is supposed to be the male lead (Kzuya Aoi?) or male protag who acts more like a little brother cheerleader. But all in all decent. Can't help but notice Sattelizer kind of resembles Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina (taken from still another character elsewhere).
