I will never understand the mass popularity of these characters. The designs are generic, the arms look completely wrong in that pose, the hands are wrong, the comic isn't funny and makes no sense, the few times that you tried to copy mouse for poses you completely screwed up the posing and proportions, yet everyone loves them and says codes or else when anyone could copy those settings easily.

By all means make all the things you want, but that really says a lot about your fans.

My experience is that most people in these threads are rather lazy and stupid when it comes to the program, so even very simple things are often impressive to them.

Their tastes are usually very simple and lowbrow, so characters who's gimmick is always being naked probably perfectly appeals to them.

And the familiarity factor of being a namefag who's been posting forever probably has some effect on it.

I am using Poser 7 at home. Here I can walk around the figures. Camera over the head, or on the floor, looking up. I have a Futa, real woman and others. But no Anime girl like Asuka from NGE.

But with Kisekae I can build Asuka, or Lain or others. The pose are limited, no change of the camera. But the program has its appeal. And it is amazing what you can do with it. That is the reason why the people love Kisikae.

If you don’t like Kisekae. Don’t view this thread. Shove off.

Are you by chance one of them ("actual artists who's work has ever been posted on /e/")? In my opinion Kisekae is just a game, a sort of SecondLife or Imvu but more amatorial and without a chat (yet)... this doesn't mean you can't be creative playing the game... I can understand you don't like it, but what about finding some more "creative" way to spend your time on the net?

That's rather presumptuous (maybe egotistical?) of you. Are those who make complex SFM animations not "real" artists? Are musicians who specialize in remixes not "real" musicians? KK2 isn't particularly advanced, and those who use it have a limited hand in the final product, but good character design and creative use of elements is an art form.

Well then it's a shame virtually nobody is these threads is capable of (or for the most part even attempts) either. Everything is premade for them and they still manage to fuck it up with clipping issues, and impossible/horrible looking angles, positions and proportions.

Here's the code if you want to take it apart. Note that width/length stretching with 7 and 8 isn't included in codes. You'll have to hit the 8 key eight times on the bewbs layer to make it wide enough to look right.

So out of curiosity I started doing some research/testing and have come to the conclusion that the default characters from k-on and love live are not perfectly to scale.

However I was able to figure out what I believe to be the best average measurement-scale for them.

So if anyone has ever wondered exactly how tall any of their characters are, import this image, set the size to 85, and the height to 591. Then have your characters standing perfectly straight (head rotation at 50 and body rotation at 180) and with their legs in the option 06 position, and at their depth at 50.

But the main problem is the inconsistency. I'm trying to base this off the k-on characters but every time I adjust the chart to make the lines fit one of them, it makes another one get thrown off.

would work best. Yui is the middle height among the 9 k-on characters so she could be considered the average. And as long as you line up the top of her head with the 5'1 line, the exact positioning of the feet shouldn't matter.

But sadly I don't think a perfectly accurate measurement will ever be possible, at least not as far as I can see.

Based this off of leg/feet position 18 which is actually the same height as leg/feet position 06, it's just that 18 lets you see their heels.

I suppose the easiest way to look would be CTRL+F the BBS pages for any topics with the word "MOD" in them. Those are usually the ones with props and backgrounds in them.

This seems pretty accurate. A while back, I utilized my own autism and calculated this girl's height as being approximately 167 cm. I've made her a bit taller since then though, I think. So this seems pretty spot on with my results.

Is it just me, or does this whole scale thing not actually make any sense? K-On girls aren't anatomically correct, so unless you're using the exact same proportions for your bodies they won't fit into that world, which means the scale for heights for your own girls can be anything you want...

No character you can make with this is going to be anatomically correct. They would all be considered tiny limbed, giant headed, bug-eyed freaks by real world standards.
And even if the scale is ultimately up to you to decide it's still fun to see how close you were able to make them without using actual measurements, or how tall they really are in relation to each other.

Not like much changed anyway; more graphic adjustments, this time for the head.

Note for people doing comparison updating off this: there's a bura1, bura1_hakf, and bura1_bak. The current bura1 is a copy of bura1_hak, which is modified to remove the useNetwork flag (don't know why it's on), while bura1_bak is the unmodified bura1. So replace bura1 with _bak if you want to check for changes, or with _hak if you want to use kk2 offline.

Custom colors are saved in the my_data3.sol file, while everything else in saved in my_data.sol

If you want to backup your data, you can just copy that file from C:\Users\[your account]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\[string of characters]\pochi.lix.jp\k_kisekae2.swf (if you don't use windows it might be somewhere else)
