But the decreased word count takes my already naturally condescending tone and makes it sound pithy. And they're getting less useful information out of it.
Also I'm trying something new each and every time I approach a newcomer. My posts are never pasta'd, I try to cater each one to the OP, or at the very least vary my approach each time to see what works and what doesn't.
The tl;dr is I'm working on appearing myself more approachable when I comment on their posts. The five-post experiment I tried here I'm currently considering a failure.
